Guardian: senior advice and IT support

Direct access to senior advisers, with support at the level you choose

Guardian gives family offices, trustees, law firms and private clients a standing line to senior technology advisers, and support at an agreed response time. Coverage can run from office hours to around the clock, remote by default and on site when the work needs it. The point is judgment before decisions, not tickets after failures.

Why it matters

  • Standard managed-IT contracts are written for companies with a service desk and predictable hours. Private offices do not work that way.
  • Principals and executives need a technical question answered in business terms, quickly, by someone who knows their setup.
  • Trustees and partners have to be able to show that their systems are properly supported, not just that someone is on call.
  • Outsourced IT staff rotate. In a private office, the people with access should be few, named and bound by confidentiality.

What the service covers

Four services:

  • On-Call Technology Advisory
A senior adviser you can call before a decision: a vendor proposal, a contract clause, a change of platform.
  • Flexible SLA Coverage
Standard, priority or premium response times, with cover from office hours to 24/7. You choose the level and pay for that level.
  • Remote & On-Site Care
Remote work where it is faster, on-site visits for sensitive or physical work. Travel and accommodation are billed separately.
  • After-Hours & Weekend Support
Cover for travel, transactions and deadlines outside office hours, with a short written summary afterwards.

What you receive

  • A named point of contact for both day-to-day problems and decisions.
  • A written service level: hours, response times, and what falls outside them.
  • On-site work done by the people already engaged with you, not subcontracted.
  • Reporting and summaries you can put in front of trustees or a board.

How the service runs

  • Defined Scope
A non-disclosure agreement and written boundaries on what we access.
  • Minimal Disruption
Remote first; on site when the work genuinely requires presence.
  • Shaped with you
How the service fits your week is agreed with you, and adjusted as that changes.
  • Continuity of people
The same small team stays with you, so context does not have to be rebuilt each time.

Who it suits

  • Family Offices
Dependable support and senior advice without hiring in-house IT.
  • Law Firms and Trustees
Documented support that stands up to audit and professional obligations.
  • HNWIs and Private Clients
Household, travel and personal technology handled discreetly.

What changes

  • Less downtime, because the response time is agreed rather than hoped for.
  • Better decisions, because advice arrives before the commitment is made.
  • Evidence of oversight, in a form governance can use.
  • Confidentiality treated as part of the service, not an afterthought.

In short

Guardian is more than a support contract. It is a standing relationship with senior people who know your environment, work to an agreed service level, and document what they do.
